Why Is This Time Different?

Every generation has been certain it stood at the end, and every generation so far has been wrong. So what is it about this one? That is the question this film sets out to answer, and it answers it by walking rather than by arguing. It begins in the streets of modern Israel, where the prophets' words no longer sound like distant poetry, then travels back into the shadows of Europe's past, where the persecuted church stood, and sets the two side by side.

It is a feature-length documentary of ninety minutes, written by Andy Gould and James Jacob Prasch and directed by J. Kitazaki, with exclusive interviews including Jacob Prasch and Marco Quintana. Its subject is stated in its own title: the case that what is happening now in Israel, in Europe and in the church is not simply another round of the same old trouble. Prophecy, persecution and revival are its three threads.

Jacob Prasch is director of Moriel Ministries, an international teaching and discernment ministry of Jewish and non-Jewish believers that has spent decades insisting Scripture be read the way its first readers read it: through the Jewish background of the New Testament. If you have heard him teach, you will recognise the voice. If you have not, this is a fair place to meet it.

What it covers: modern Israel, the persecution of Europe's past, and the biblical case for why this hour is not like the others, told through interviews rather than narration alone.

We are not paid for this and we take no commission. The film is sold by Moriel Ministries, so the link goes straight to their own store.
